BBb Bass Tuba ‘Conqueror’ – TB950XP

The TB950 is a new tuba designed by Wessex Tubas, but at the same time building on the traditional British Brass Band BBb basses taking the best features of existing designs, and combining to make a new bass which is better still.
It has a lead pipe at a height to suit regular size players with 4th valve brought nearer to the mouthpiece to make more comfortable to use. We have also opened out the 4th valve loop to give the new bass a more open low register. Valves are comfortable placed and we have attempted to make a tuba which is good enough to use beyond the brass band.
The new TB950XP are all individually handmade from sheet metal in our high-grade workshop using German brass to produce resonance, projection and good full tone in a relatively lightweight BBb bass.
